Giles Caunter
Technology leader, systems builder, and long-term experimenter.
I’ve spent years building practical systems, exploring new ideas early, and working at the point where software, engineering judgement, and real-world usefulness meet.
My background ranges from building what was likely one of the earliest B2B insurance quoting systems, to writing a programming language, to experimenting with AI and machine learning long before either became fashionable.
More recently I’ve been exploring post-quantum encryption, passwordless authentication, lightweight cloud systems, and small software experiments such as Planetoid.

What You’ll Find Here
This site is part project archive, part notebook, and part thinking space.
Alongside software and architecture, I also write about aviation, cars and mechanics, nature, life with dogs, and whatever else turns out to be interesting enough to keep.
Planetoid
Planetoid is a small game experiment and a useful place to explore mechanics, iteration, publishing, support, and product thinking in practice.
