SpeedWise Privacy Policy

SpeedWise is designed to be privacy-friendly. The app helps you understand speed, journey time, and speed comparisons. It does not require an account and does not sell your data.

Information the app uses

SpeedWise may use your device location to calculate your current speed and journey information. This location data is used on your device to provide the app’s features.

SpeedWise does not store your location history on our servers. SpeedWise does not upload your journey data to a backend server.

Location permission

The app may ask for permission to access your location while using the app. This is needed so the app can calculate live speed.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. If location access is disabled, you can still use manual mode where available.

Manual mode

SpeedWise includes a manual mode that lets you enter or select a speed without using GPS location. Manual mode does not require location access.

Analytics and crash data

SpeedWise does not currently use third-party advertising or tracking analytics.

Apple may provide developers with aggregated crash reports or diagnostic information if you have chosen to share this information with app developers through your iOS settings. This information is provided by Apple and is used only to improve app reliability.

Advertising and tracking

SpeedWise does not show advertising.

SpeedWise does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

SpeedWise does not sell your personal information.

Data sharing

We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

We may disclose information only if required to do so by law.

Children

SpeedWise is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account, profile, name, email address, or date of birth.

Data retention

SpeedWise does not store your location history on our servers.

Any app settings stored locally on your device remain on your device unless you delete the app or reset your settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of your data.
