Time ReInvented

Stop watching the clock.
Start seeing your day.

A calendar reimagined as a circular daily timeline for Apple Watch.

Time ReInvented turns the question “what time is it?” into “where am I in my day, what’s next, and how much breathing room do I have?” One glance at the watch replaces a scroll through a list.

The core idea

Every calendar app shows the same thing: a clock, or a list of times. Time ReInvented re-thinks that interface entirely — your whole day becomes a single ring. Each coloured arc is an event. A pointer marks right now. The centre tells you what’s happening and what’s next. Free time is visible but quiet, so you can see, at a glance, exactly how the day is shaped.

See your entire day

The donut shows your day at a glance. Each colour is a calendar event.

🎯

Stay focused and in control

The pointer shows exactly where you are right now, and what’s coming next.

Never miss what matters

Configurable alerts and a next-event countdown keep you ahead of your day.

Key features

  • Donut timeline of your day with a live “now” pointer
  • Current event details in the centre — title, elapsed and remaining time
  • Next event preview with countdown
  • Multiple calendars, shown as concentric rings or blended into one hybrid view
  • Configurable day range — 24 hour, work day, or a custom start and end
  • Smart free-time detection with AI suggestions (future)
  • Four configurable corner widgets — date, steps, weather, next gap
  • Tap any segment for full event details
  • Daily, hourly, weekly and monthly views
  • Analytics: “where did my day go?”
  • Companion iPhone, iPad and Mac apps
  • Privacy-first — your calendar data stays on your device

Designed for the wrist first

Most calendar apps are designed for a phone screen and then squeezed onto a watch. Time ReInvented starts on Apple Watch: a full-screen, watch-face-like view built natively with SwiftUI, WidgetKit and EventKit, so it stays glanceable, calm and battery-efficient. The iPhone, iPad and Mac apps come after, sharing the same design language for setup, analytics and settings.

Multiple calendars

Keep Work, Personal and Family separate as concentric rings, merge them into one hybrid ring, or show only your highest-priority events.

Built-in intelligence

A future AI Coach can flag overload, suggest what to do with a free gap, and nudge you toward a break — always optional, always on-device by default.

Seven themes, one clear idea

Every theme keeps the same information hierarchy and tap targets — only the look changes, from a clean Apple-style minimal face to an aviation-instrument-inspired dark glass look.

Where it stands today

Time ReInvented is currently an early-stage concept and technical plan — the product itself is not yet built. This is the same re-thinking process behind SpeedWise: start with the everyday interface everyone takes for granted, question the assumption, then design and build something clearer.

Phase Scope
MVP Daily donut timeline, live pointer, current & next event, four corner widgets, calendar selection and ordering, day-range and alert configuration, core themes.
Phase 2 Hourly, weekly and monthly views; time analytics and heat maps; AI colour coding; AI Coach / PA mode; iPad and Mac companion apps; optional cloud sync.

Built the same way as SpeedWise

Native Apple technologies throughout — Swift, SwiftUI, WidgetKit and EventKit — chosen deliberately over cross-platform frameworks, because a premium watch face experience depends on first-class access to Apple’s watch complications, haptics and battery behaviour. Calendar data stays on-device by default; nothing is sent off the watch without explicit consent.
